As an EDS client, you will receive high level support from people who are dedicated to visiting you onsite on a regularly scheduled basis. Not only will EDS take care of any problems, we will provide standard maintenance and strategic planning. As always, you get what you pay for every month. Basically, EDS becomes "your technology solutions department." Just so we are on the same page please read the following ideals we hold true. In the IT support business, there are basically two kinds of support entities. (And, we don't fit into either of the categories below.)
1. We are NOT a "Fix-It-And-Forget-It" Solution
Some companies, (mainly one man shows), are offering a "fix it" solution, waiting until something breaks. When something goes wrong, they'll come out to fix it without thinking of offering any preventative maintenance. They are driving all over town putting out fires, always on the go and working on multiple things at once. In other words, they are not accessible to you the customer when you need it most.
2. We are NOT a "One Time Only Consultant"
Instead of being in the business for the long haul, they are more interested in working with you on a project by project basis. They are the one hit wonders of the industry - getting in and out quick with your money in hand. They don't care about the long term success of your company.
So, what exactly is EDS?
Eclipse Data Solutions (EDS) is the combination of over 40 years of computer and information technology experience. Years of classroom and on hands training combined with real-life business situation experience that cannot be taught in the classroom. Cisco systems qualification and certifications. From the days of DOS to Server 2008 and everything in between. EDS does not concentrate solely on fixing computers, EDS covers all aspects of information technology from hardware, software, networking, programming, websites, point-of-sale, satellite installs, digital changeover, security solutions, VOIP, and the list goes on and on.
EDS is here to stay!
Eclipse Data Solutions (EDS) knows that to be successful we have to stay in business for the long haul. EDS will adjust with the economy and not disappear at the first sign of hard times. EDS wants to eliminate doubts that we are a fly-by-night information technology company. When computer systems are installed they require support and maintenance. If your information technology provider disappears, can you handle the equipment on your own? Can you afford the time it takes for another company to come in a learn your systems in preparation to take over a support role?
EDS and the community.
Another aspect of EDS that will show itself soon enough, is community involvement. EDS feels that going beyond information technology in any community is key to understanding and growing with that community.
EDS going beyond simple out-of-the-box solutions. Extended Support
Eclipse Data Solutions does not intend to limit our support and service to mere out-of-the-box fixes. EDS is prepared to set up a Research and Development department to examine more specific aspects of problems we my encounter such as controllers for conveyor systems at mining locations. Maybe someone has an idea of how to make something work better but is not as technically inclined. Bring your ideas to EDS and we may be able to devote time in researching your ideas. Custom computers, custom gaming systems, customized software, etc. There is "no limit" with EDS. Extended Information Technology Support! Equipment, Support, Service, and Extended Support, Research and Development! Does your IT provider give you all of that? A good example of Extended Support is this. A local delivery company wants to be able to track their deliveries online to record departure time and delivery times. They also want their customers to have the ability to know how soon their parts will be delivered so their customers can plan on scheduling mechanics to be standing by. EDS R&D will ride with delivery drivers and record key data from current tracking processes and by riding with the drivers get a better understanding of the more field level situations the drivers encounter daily. EDS will then take all of the data collected and begin building the software and online coding necessary to make this idea a reality. This is what we refer to as "Extended Support".
